We know that seasonal flu is approaching, and there is an additional concern this year regarding H1N1 or swine flu. It is very important that we reduce the spread of influenza by following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. The influenza viruses spread from contaminated persons to others by hand contact and also in respiratory droplets, especially from coughing and sneezing. We all should know flu symptoms may include: fever, sore throat, headache, chills, cough, body aches, muscle aches, and sneezing. Call your health care provider for instructions if you become ill or have questions. W-A-T-C-H Wash your hands often with soap and water. Avoid close contact with others who show signs of illness. Toss tissues in the trash after one use. Cover your mouth. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your arm, not your hands. Hibernate if you're sick.
